Beth Zion invites one and all to participate in our annual Seder celebration!
Each year at the beginning of Pesach Beth Zion holds its traditional Jewish
Seder for all to celebrate. The Seder is an intergenerational family ritual
prescribed according to Torah commanding the Jewish people to retell the story
of Moshe leading them from captivity in Egypt. 'On that day you
are to tell your son, "It is because of what Adonai did for me when I
left Egypt"'
Traditional text from the Haggadah and special blessings and songs are sung along with the traditional 4 cups of wine and
matzah. With the Haggadah as the guide, the Seder is performed in much the
same way by Jewish people all over the world. The Messianic Seder is
celebrated in the same way but additional readings from the B'rit Hadashah
(New Covenant) and Messianic prophecies such as those found in Isaiah are read.
It's a powerful time to see how Mashiach is identified throughout this
blessed celebration!
